Downtown Riverside, Riverside Neighborhood

Downtown Riverside offers a diverse housing mix with single detached homes, apartments, and duplexes, many featuring one or two bedrooms built primarily before the 1960s. Residents benefit from convenient access to around 10 bus lines with stops close to most properties, providing practical public transit options. The neighborhood supports cycling with accommodating infrastructure for going around town. Numerous green spaces and parks are scattered throughout, creating pleasant outdoor opportunities nearby. Essential amenities include general and specialty grocery stores as well as several dining choices along Main Street and several cafes. Educational options encompass accessible public and private primary and high schools.

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Downtown Riverside. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to check out, such as Mount Rubidoux Park and Ryan Bonaminio Park, and they are very well-distributed, making them easy to reach. As there are few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet; however noise levels are higher closer to Pomona Freeway or Riverside Freeway.
